Let's look back at the Italian Cuisine Week in the World 2020!
 
TRUE ITALIAN TASTE: PARMIGIANO REGGIANO MASTERCLASS - Sydney
On the 23rd November in Sydney, ICCIAUS hosted the second event of the True Italian taste series, a masterclass on Parmigiano Reggiano with Luca Ciano.

This seminar is part of a bigger project called "True Italian Taste" which is a worldwide series promoted and financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation that aims to educate, leverage and support certified Italian food and beverages outside of Italy. The project provides educational tours, incoming business, workshops and seminars, as well as a series of training activities, masterclasses and events promoting authentic Italian products abroad.

Luca guided media, journalists and local chefs through how to experience authentic Italian Parmigiano Reggiano cheese with different agings (18, 24 and 36 months), he also educated the audience around certified Italian food, highlighting the role of Consortium.

OPENING EVENT ITALIAN CUISINE WEEK IN THE WORLD 2020 - Sydney
On Monday, 23rd November, ICCIAUS also organised the opening event of the Italian Cuisine in the World 2020 at the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney.

We celebrated restaurants that obtained the prestigious Ospitalita’ Italiana certification and we officially launched “Cucina Italiana: a Guidebook to Italian dining”, the very first guidebook that gathers the 47 certified restaurants in NSW and ACT. The publication was made possible thanks to the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute’s collaboration and the support of the Italian National Tourist Board - ANZ, as well as a number of sponsors.

Thanks to the over 120 VIP guests and attendees for being there and to all ICCIAUS Sponsors and members for sharing that important moment with us!

SPECIAL DINNER @ Agostinis - Canberra
Among the activities organised for the Italian Cuisine Week in the World 2020, on the 24th November, ICCIAUS commemorated Pellegrino Artusi's bicentenary together with the Embassy of Italy in Australia.
A special menu has been inspired by his cookbook "Science in the Kitchen and Art of eating well" (the very first cookbook on Italian Cuisine) and designed by Agostinis Italian Restaurant in Canberra!

Agostinis restaurant has been confirmed 2020 Ospitalita' Italiana certified restaurant, one of those 47 restaurant featured in "Cucina Italiana: a Guidebook to Italian dining"!

ITALIAN CRAFT BEER DEGUSTATION - Sydney
On the 26th November, ICCIAUS celebrated Italian Cuisine Week in the World 2020, hosting a seminar on Italian craft beers at Ventuno Restaurant together with Italian Cultural Centre in Sydney and the Italian Trade Agency.
Thanks to international beer judgeMichael Capaldo for guiding a local audience through a very Italian drinking experience with fantastic craft beers!

SPECIAL DINNER @ Molto Italian - Canberra
ICCIAUS continued celebrating Italian Cuisine Week in the World 2020 in Canberra, renewing Molto Italian among those 2020 Ospitalita' Italiana certified restaurants. 

Molto Italian's chef designed a special menu taking participants through a 4 course dinner inspired to Pellegrino Artusi's very first cookbook on Italian Cuisine.

Italian Cuisine Week in the World special edition: LIBRI A TAVOLA episode 6 - Sydney
This year, ICCIAUS has given the patronage to Federica Raneri and her podcast LIBRI A TAVOLA transmitted on Revolution Radio Australia

The program tells about outstanding professionals of the Italian culinary scene, but above all, analyses their cookbooks and projects. The protagonists are Italian Cuisine experts who bring their knowledge around the world and contribute to spread authentic Italian excellence. 

On Sunday 29th November, in conclusion to the Italian Cuisine Week, episode 6 went live on Revolution Radio at 9am. Guests of honour were Andrea De Felip, Consul General of Italy in Sydney and Rachele Grassi, CEO Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia inc.
 
They talked about the values ​​of Italian Cuisine Week which aimed at promoting and enhancing Made in Italy in the world; discussed on Sistema Italia's integrated promotion across this sector with a focus on the True Italian Taste campaign, a project promoted and financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and commemorated 200th anniversary of Pellegrino Artusi, author of the very first Italian cookbook, also mentioning the launch of “Cucina Italiana: a Guidebook to Italian dining”, the very first guidebook in Australia – printed in limited edition – that gathers restaurants and gelaterie which obtained the prestigious 2020 Ospitalita' Italiana award in NSW and ACT.
