True Italian Taste - Extra Virgin Olive Oil Masterclass |

On 30th of March ICCIAUS will host in Adelaide one of the masterclasses part of the True Italian Taste project. In particular, Professor Richard Gawel -Sensory Research Scientist, together with Prof. Paula Zito - Food Geographical Indications Consultant, will lead invitees through a unique Italian olive oils-session, focusing on the importance of Geographical Indication and the link between products and lands.
The True Italian Taste project is a worldwide series promoted and financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation that aims to educate, leverage and support certified Italian food and beverages outside of Italy. The project provides educational tours, incoming business, workshops and seminars, as well as a series of training activities, masterclasses and events promoting authentic Italian products abroad.

Globally, the winter wave of the pandemic is regressing from its January peaks, but remains very active. The vaccination campaign is still negligible in the global context, and is meeting with difficulties in Europe; however, in the advanced countries, herd immunity still seems to be a goal achievable by the end of the year. |

Webuild: 2021 webinar on future of Australia infrastructure
Webuild hosted Tunnelling Talks – Innovation and Expertise to Support Long Term Infrastructure in Australia on February 4, 2021, a virtual panel discussion about how best to se expertise and innovation to support a boom in the construction of sustainable infrastructure in Australia.
It discussed the factors required for infrastructure to support the country’s sustainable development, including new fields of expertise, innovation, as well as new models of collaboration between contractors and clients, the most recent being the one applied to build the Genova San Giorgio Bridge in record time. Global and local case studies of best practice in the infrastructure sector, particularly in tunnelling, had also been reviewed.

WestConnex makes strong progress
The M4-M5 Link Tunnels project is the final and most critical component of WestConnex. The halfway point of tunnelling has been reached, with all the progress able to be viewed through its online map. WestConnex is a 33km traffic-light-free motorway network that is getting Sydney moving now and into the future. With 28 roadheaders excavating across the project, there has been approximately 11 km of tunnel excavated and more than 4 million t of spoil removed to date. |

Cortina 2021, the 2021 Alpine Ski World Championships, taking place in Cortina d'Ampezzo from 7 - 21 February 2021 have seen Leonardo as a partner contributing to the protection of the event, improving the quality of the experience for athletes, the public and the local community with the aim of ensuring security first of and foremost. |
The Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover has touched down on the surface of the Red Planet.
It will search for signs of ancient microbial life, which will advance NASA's quest to explore the past habitability of Mars. The rover has a drill to collect core samples of Martian rock and soil, then store them in sealed tubes for pickup by a future mission that would ferry them back to Earth for detailed analysis. Perseverance will also test technologies to help pave the way for future human exploration of Mars. |
