We are proud to share that ICCIAUS CEO, Rachele Grassi, was listed amongst the "Young Women to Watch in International Affairs for 2021"
image
In celebration of this year's International Women's Day, the list seeks to shine a spotlight on young Australian women making a name for themselves in government, academia, think tanks, the private sector and civil society across the broad horizon of international affairs - whether it be in foreign Policy, national Security, international Aid and development, a particular bilateral Relationship, cyber, defence, strategic issues or international Trade. These often remain male-dominated fields, and YAIA (Young Australians in International Affairs) wants to recognise, celebrate and promote the next generation of women achieving success and making an impact in these areas.

ICCIAUS Weekly Economic Update - by Intesa Sanpaolo
image
In this week's economic update:
-The outcome of the FOMC meeting was in line with expectations, with no indication of changes to monetary policy, despite the significant upward revision of the outlook. The statement was little changed;
- At this latest meeting, focus was on the updated macro economic projections. As expected, the changes were significant for 2021, with much stronger forecast growth and unemployment, and higher inflation;
- On the other hand, again not surprisingly, the median path of rates remains stable until 2023, although the number of “dots” pointing to hikes in 2023 increased and, most importantly, some dots now indicate increases in 2022 as well.

The NSW Treasurer released the NSW Budget 2020-21 Half-Yearly Review on the 3rd March.

The central message is one of quiet confidence, with a big job still ahead.
The State’s initial recovery from the impact of COVID-19 has exceeded expectations, largely due to the NSW Government’s success in keeping the economy open by containing the virus. A number of risks remain with the potential to impact the economic and fiscal outlook of the State.
The NSW Government has accelerated reform processes to cut red tape and streamline processes to serve its people, laying the foundation for an even stronger economy in the long term.
