On the 27th April ICCIAUS accompanied the Hon. Victor Dominello MPMinister for Customer Service and Minister for Digital for a visit of the Dee Why facility of its Sponsor Prysmian Group.
 
Hamavand ShroffCEO of Prysmian Australia & NZ, and his team explained how Prysmian Group is a crucial player in NSW & Australia supporting many significant projects including WestConnex M4 East Tunnel, WestConnex M8 Tunnel and Sydney Metro Northwest rapid Transport. Prysmian is also in several contracts in various sectors including telecommunication and the NBN, Energy and Infrastructure.  
 
ICCIAUS strives to promote Italian excellence in Australia and showcase the capabilities and potential of Italy in various fields.

ICCIAUS represented the Italian Space Agency (ASI-Agenzia Spaziale Italiana) and 13 amazing companies at the 11th Australian Space Forum, held in Adelaide on 31st March 2021.

The Italy of space is powerful. The Italian Space Industry, in fact, is one of the most prominent of Europe and oversees the entire sector’s supply chain, from the creation of enabling technologies, up to the distribution of their innovative applications and services.

The Chamber’s display is part of the integrated commitment of the Sistema Italia in Australia, together with the Embassy of Italy in Canberra and ITA - Italian Trade Agency, in the bilateral cooperation in the Space sector.

On Friday 23rd April 2021, ICCIAUS held its 70th Annual General meeting where the new Board for 2021 was elected. Guests present included the Consul General of Italy in Sydney, Andrea De Felip. ICCIAUS would like to congratulate newly elected Board Members:

DESIGN with Italian Cultural Institute, ICE- Italian Trade Agency & Euroluce

On Thursday 20th April  Italian Cultural Institute talked DESIGN with Euroluce's expert team who guided guests through classic products from world-renowned brands such as Flos, Reggiani and Oluce and told them about the inspiration behind the design and the award-winning designers such as Vico Magistretti,Antonio Citterio, Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and many more. This event was organised in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency Sydney, ICCIAUS member Euroluce and ICCIAUS.

In this week's economic update:
-FOMC meeting - The Fed should confirm optimism on the recovery, now at an “inflection point” but still subject to downside risks tied to the pandemic, With the economy still distant front the Fed’s goals, forward guidance will remain based on outcomes, not on forecasts.
-The press conference of the European Central Bank was anything but an event, to be remembered above all for the evasiveness with which even the most reasonable questions were addressed. On June 10, with the publication of new staff estimates and the need to announce whether the pace of PEPP purchases remains unchanged or is scaled back, the event could be more interesting.

Ferrero chooses the green path 

On Earth Day 2021, Ferrero is proud to announce that it is making good progress in reducing the environmental impact of its operations. Already 18 of its plants source 100% renewable electricity, which accounts for close to 80% of the electricity purchased for all their manufacturing sites worldwide.
Ferrero's sites in Europe and the UK are already sourcing only green electricity and in the last months, five more factories have reached this important milestone: Poços de Caldas (Brazil), Vladimir (Russia), Bloomington (USA), Franklin Park (USA) and Manisa (Turkey).

The Arescosmo Group supplies advanced safety & survival systems for the Defence and Space industry.
The Company is organized in two divisions. The defence division, with a 40-years experience in supplying the Italian MoD, has been selected as one of the prime contractors in the Italian Army Soldato Futuro Programme. Arescosmo thus provides the CBRN Integrated Personal Protection System composed of Mask, Canister, Permeable Suit and Hydration System. Our main strength is a comprehensive approach in product development and testing and a deep knowledge in textile and rubber technologies. Arescosmo supplies also Parachuting Systems. We are part of the JSF-F35 PROGRAM, producing the Ground Support Equipment for MRO Operations, Inflatable Modular Shelter and Environmental Control Units.
