The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia was established in 1922 with the objective to promote trade and commerce between Italy and New South Wales and, more widely within Australia.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce has helped a countless amount of companies in both Italy and Australia become successful in their business ventures, as well as fostering a range of trade developments, whilst also helping relations between our two great countries grow.

The Chamber in Sydney is the oldest and largest Italian Chamber of Commerce in Australia; located in the heart of Sydney, our Chamber is at the forefront of business both in Australia and in Italy. We offer a wide range of services to members and non-members and assist in trade and investments in both directions, which can be personalised to suit your needs.

The workshop aims to provide high-quality information on the Italian economy and its likely future trajectory, in light of developments in financial markets, interest rates and public consolidation efforts.


Dr. Gerali is Chief Representative of the Bank of Italy Rep. Office in Japan since Oct. 2020. In this capacity, he is responsible for analysing economic policies and financial developments not only in Japan, but also in Australia, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, and Taiwan. Though interactions with local authorities, institutional investors and the financial community at large, he collects intelligence on the local economies, while at the same time disseminating information and analysis on monetary, financial and regulatory developments in Italy and the Euro area.
