Event Details NEW OCTOBER DATE!
Italian Design Day 2021, to broaden knowledge and business opportunities through Design. In all its forms.
What is design if not a match of ingenuity, art and craft?
And Italy, land of interior, automotive, industrial and fashion design, where allure and functionality converge into elegant and purposeful objects?
Thanks to the 1st edition of Italian Design Day (IDD) in South Australia, there will be a chance to celebrate Italy's deep connections to the design sector and the opportunities presented through local and global benchmark events in the furnishing and design world such as Salone del Mobile in Milan. Talk Italian Made Design and its reciprocal cultural influences, aesthetic subtlety and artisanal craftsmanship.

Emma Elizabeth Producer and Agent at THE ARTIST GROUP
Emma Elizabeth Producer and Agent at THE ARTIST GROUP Living and breathing by Emma Elizabeth’s self-created ethos “design is nothing without style, and style is nothing without design”, Emma Elizabeth is a highly innovative designer, stylist, creative and curator. Having studied ‘Scenografia’ from Istituto Europeo di Design in Milano, Italia, a fusion course between interior design, industrial design and set design. This education allowed Emma Elizabeth to return to Australia launch her practise EMMA ELIZABETH DESIGNS. Now with over 15 years of experience under her belt she decided to bring together the creative community fused with her knowledge through the platform LOCAL DESIGN. LOCAL DESIGN was a way for Emma Elizabeth to utilise her creative judgement and understanding to bring together Australian designers. To curate and creatively direct a collective, that together have created the narrative and aesthetic of Australian design, shown within many an international show, that is now recognisable to the world.
Jim Hannon-Tan Designer at Jim Hannon-Tan Design Pty Ltd
Jim Hannon-Tan Designer at Jim Hannon-Tan Design Pty Ltd Jim Hannon-Tan’s style and viewpoint have been shaped by a diversity of inputs and ideas. Born in Spain, he grew up with Asian influences in multicultural Australia before moving to Europe to hone his skills in the design studios of Milan, Amsterdam and London over the course of 15 years. His creative base is now back in Australia, where he is inspired by the vast landscapes, east-west fusion, and the potential of design to humanise new technologies.
