Stefano Catino - an Italian based in Australia - is the co-founder and owner of Maybe Sammy, one of the most awarded bars of last year, and its sibling Maybe Frank. Stefano comes from Vernazza, a very small and touristic town in the Italian riviera.
In which way does he combine his own Italian heritage in flavours and his own roots in a cocktail? Stefano has always looked at his childhood as well as when babies get surprised with little but simple things. That’s the way he and his team approach drinks: finding a story to tell from their memory and develop the drinks from there.

Currently Daniele works for Campari Group in the Channel and Customer Marketing team based in Sydney Australia. In his current role he is responsible for the strategic implementation of the Campari Academy plans and vision, while he continues to develop capability and technical excellence within the Bartender Advocacy & Education function and Brand Ambassador community across the wider Asia Pacific region. Daniele now spends most of his time ‘behind the scenes’, managing a team of skilled Brand Ambassadors and coordinating the Campari Academy educational initiatives and programs. Having said that, he has not lost one of his biggest and innate passions: Educating Bartenders, Spirit Retailers and Consumers on our rich portfolio of international brands, the categories that they represent and the cocktail culture that they foster.

Originally from Milano-Italy, and more specifically from a small town called Sesto San Giovanni (the same city where Campari originally built its first factory in 1904), Dani has a long and established career within the bartending industry and premium spirits world. You could say that Campari truly “runs through his veins”. Pre-Campari, Daniele managed premium venues, cocktail bars, and led beverage event teams across Italy, Europe, the US and finally Australia. He first joined Campari Group in 2012, as one of the original members of Campari Brand Ambassador Team. In 2018, he led the introduction of the Campari Academy to the Australian Bartending community, prioritizing Bartenders’ thirst for genuine knowledge and education, through the platform’s different initiatives.

Working with esteemed guest international guest speakers and our Master Distillers, numerous accomplishments were achieved by the Campari Academy team since then, including being recognized and awarded for Training Program of the Year at the 2019 Australian Bar Awards.
