Fair Work Commission releases 2021 wage decision

On 16 June the Fair Work Commission released its 2021 wage decision. A 2.5% increase will be applied to all Award rates and to the national minimum rate. This article outlines the 3 implementation dates for the implementation of the 2.5% Award increases.

Greensill case prompts re-think of discretionary trusts as foreign investment vehicles
Has the death knell rung for non-residents investing in non-real estate assets via Australian discretionary trust structures? It certainly seems so following the unfavourable decision handed down by the Full Federal Court of Australia in Peter Greensill Family Co Pty Ltd (Trustee) v Commissioner of Taxation [2021] FCAFC 99.
