An **icon of the Eternal City**, Roman pizza is know for its freedom and creativity, with various **local ingredients** being used. With zucchini flowers, hams, mushrooms and artichokes gracing its **thin, crispy and fragrant base**, the variety of Roman flavours is unmatched.   
  
Unlike its Neapolitan counterpart, Roman pizza can be cooked in either a wood oven or electric oven at a temperature between 340 and 380 degrees celsius, usually between 2.5–3 minutes. Inside the oven, the pizzas must be checked and turned to cook evenly.
